Above are some pictures of June Orford's, which involved her being hoisted 65 metres
up a Eucalyptus Regnans in the Styx Valley in Tasmania.
The platform was manned round the clock by activists from around the world
for six months. By the end of that time Greenpeace's brilliant campaign
which involved sending 10,000 letters from concerned individuals through
their web site to the CEOs of the Japanese companies buying Tasmanian
woodchips was successful.
The Japanese companies were so embarrassed by the flood of emails that they
prevailed upon the Tasmanian government and Gunns to resolve this domestic
issue in order that business could continue.
The Wilderness Society was assisted by Greenpeace in their campaign to save
Tasmania's ancient forests.

pictures above please contact June
